In collaboration with Alexa Mendez, The Maelstrom is a collection of short stories based on Chronica Der Weitberümbten Namhasstigen Und Löblïchen Des Heiligen Reijchsstat Nüremberg, a historical record of events that happened in 1500s Nuremberg. Each story contains themes of death, mass hysteria, and doom and are accompanied by illustrations inspired by medieval marginalia.
